A quarter of the world's fruit production in 2021 was bananas, for a quantity of 124.98 million tonnes. Then the melons produced amounted to 101.63 million tonnes. Apples reached a production value of 94.14 million tonnes, and finally oranges 75.57 million tonnes.
But in some countries like France, apple consumption exceeds any other fruit.

Although the production rate slowed in 2020, it is estimated that production could be double in January 2024. In August 2023, France had already reached 1.6 million tonnes, a figure that will see a considerable increase at the end of 2023.

China: in addition to being the world's leading consumer, China also occupies this place in terms of production with 45.98 million tonnes produced on a cultivated area of ​​2.093 million hectares. Around 6 million tonnes are intended for export.

Poland: exports a good part of its production of 4.067 million tonnes across Europe.

Turkey: with a production level of 4.493 million tonnes

USA: American apple production varies from year to year, remaining among the top 4. More than 4.467 million tons produced each year.

Among these, we can also mention the following countries: India (2.276 million tons), Iran (2.241 million tons), Russia (2.216 million tons), Italy (2.211 million tons), France can currently count more than 2 million tons.

However, in Africa, apple production is not a practice in some countries. Before, consuming apples was a practice reserved for a category of people, currently all Africans have integrated the fact of eating frequently and producing apples.
In 2023, South African production exceeded 1.15 million tons.
